Marie looked outside the window in the sixth year Ward woman’s dormitory. The Quidditch Pitch was occupied by the Shacklebolt team and the grounds were swarming with lots of people that she didn’t have the energy or motivation to talk to. Marie looked around for some answer to pop out of thin air to tell her what she should do with the lousy afternoon. Most of her friends were with other friends and Marie hated being the third wheel. Marie glanced back out the window desperately. She looked at the village not too far off, it was a slow day and Marie had nothing better to do. Marie frowned and heaved herself off the bed.
Marie changed out of the school uniform and pulled on a pair of tight dark blue jeans, that was when she decided she could go for something that contained ridiculous amount of caffeine and would make her feel better. Marie glanced out the window again, as she threaded a black and dark green studded belt through the hoops, she picked out IMS café. Marie riffled through her trunk, stopping every once in a while to smell the sweet scent of home and attempted to find a shirt. Finally, she pulled on a pink Faber Drive shirt with four signatures on the back in permanent marker. The shirt had a heart lightly coloured in a darker pink and a cut out of four people on it. She hugged the shirt close and grabbed a solid black sweater out of the trunk.
Marie grabbed a small ‘Fall Out Wizard’, one of her favourite bands [Fall Out Boy totally stole their name from them], wallet and shoved it into her back pocket. It contained a muggle library card, ID to a local muggle school just in case and muggle money. Marie twirled her tragus piercing a few times, out of nervous habit and set out into the city.
Marie was tempted by a beautiful fountain on her way to the café. Marie sat on a small dry patch on the edge of the circular fountain. There was a small light display as water poured out a women holding a pot of some sort. Marie-Angeline let her fingers skim the top of the cool clear water. She took and handful and poured it over her face. The summer vacation had recently ended, but the temperature was still warm. It felt nice on her face. Marie bit lip and shook her hand free of the water. Marie smiled lightly, but decided that the caffeine boost would make her feel better than cool water.
Marie pulled the door open and heard a tiny tinkle above her as she entered. Marie-Angeline looked at the menu for a long time, so many options, what to have? Marie finally decided to go simple, well simple enough. She ordered an iced French vanilla cappuccino. When it was finally ready, Marie took a seat at a table for two near the window. She loved watching people pass by, some looking worried, others with children. Marie took a long drink and sighed. It felt nice, it would give her a head ache and sore stomach later, but it got rid of the one she had now.
