The year is 1969, the town is Woodstock, New York. People from all over the US have begun to gather for what promises to be the greatest concert in the world. In this day in age life is all about the good time, the good music, and the good high. The sixties were all about peace and love, and Woodstock is the place to be. Let’s focus now on an up-and-coming southern rock band, Stillwater. They have been touring the US for almost a year now, gaining a following and great respect from the more well known bands who were offered to play in Woodstock. Nearing the end of Stillwater’s tour they received a phone call from a good friend Richie Havens (who would later play the opening set for Woodstock). He wanted them to fill the spot of a band who dropped out, to be a part of Woodstock. At the time it was every bands dream, and they had finally reached it. Like most of the other bands, and fans as well, the members of Stillwater, and a few friends who were on tour with them, headed to Woodstock about two weeks before the concert would take place. Now enjoying the life of a full fledged rock star, the band members and friends are partying hard and having a blast, tearing up the small town of Woodstock until the legendary music festival would take place and they would go down in history. woodstockxx.proboards99.com/index.cgi
